As Anthony notes, the complainants (of whom Anthony is one) have not suggested any alternative remedies. So, in the spirit of conciliation, I invite the complainants to name their terms. Please, I ask you, state your conditions. Make explicit your demands of me, in as much detail as you can. Indeed, since not everyone here agrees that my speech was objectionable, perhaps you can say specifically (in reference to the many points you raised) what you would have *liked* me to have said instead of what I *actually* said. That would probably be the best indicator of your desires. In response, I will happily describe the conditions I think each of the complainants should meet in return. Surely, giving a little on both sides would be the essence of a negotiated settlement? Or you can call the vote on the matter as things stand now; feel free to do as you prefer. -- Paul M.
