@Alessandro Pellizzari *"So, we either put a hard limit of one message per day per person (effectively killing technical legitimate discussions), or we selectively and arbitrarily silence people (with possibly rising malcontent because on injustices and "too much power on someone's hand") or we deal with each case individually (like this case) So, we either put a hard limit of one message per day per person (effectively killing technical legitimate discussions), or we selectively and arbitrarily silence people (with possibly rising malcontent because on injustices and "too much power on someone's hand") or we deal with each case individually (like this case)"*
Very absolute! I think you can discuss the subject to try and find other solutions. @Tom Etzel *"That has to be a joke right? You cannot be seriously suggesting institution of a language police sub-forum."* Thank you! *+1* @Tom Etzel *" If you don't like the guy or what he has to say... ignore him"* The problem is that they can't ignore him, the way they work makes it possible for some people to obstruct progress. This thread is meant to solve that by, idk how actually.. everyone is looking to point a finger instead of finding the root of the problem. People passing judgement also seems to have more to learn about manners then the people they passing judgment on. The "hypocritism" is real! @Alessandro Lai *"We are here to work together, to discuss together and to find a common ground to get PSR done. Paul is greatly involved in this work, so you basically CAN'T ignore him, because is part of the process.* *... if I ignore someone it's detrimental to the PSR process. Right now, if I'm not mistaken, he is the sponsor of 2 drafting PSR: if I would like to work on those, I have to work with him, it's unavoidable."* That's the real question, how can someone get into a position like that if he lacks support? Or does he have support? just some people don't like this? How can you avoid something like that? can you vote for who to sponsor a PSR? If so, can you also have a negative vote to clarify who you don't want to sponsor the PSR? The obstructions this person is cousing, could you form a guideline or rule to prevent that from taking place? You seem to try to treat a symptom instead of the cause. ...lets say that Paul disappears tomorrow from the face of the earth, the problems you have will still appear. If you consider Paul a troll, then use that to your advantage instead... now you have someone to point out the flaws that you need to correct. Even if Paul is the one shining a light on the symptoms you should be discussing, others abuse the flaws as well to a less extent. As stated, a person that don't have the support of the community shouldn't be able to obstruct it. So ask your self instead how you can prevent that from happening. @Alessandro Lai *"Even in this thread, he wrote some personal comments that he could have avoided"* .. Really? I haven't seen any unappropriated behavior from Paul. I hear hes frustration, he seems human imo! Stating that someone needs to be parented through a police sub-forum.. that's inappropriate! @Lukas Kahwe Smith *"I wanted to put this out there as a possible remedy that might find a middle ground other than the two extremes expulsion"* Can't speak for Paul, but this seems even more extreme then the later.. *Final note*, Paul is an asset to this project that needs to be cared for! He has support by the community for a reason. This is a community project! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "PHP Framework Interoperability Group" group.
