While Microsoft may think that they can force everybody currently using XP to
buy a new copy of windows, that is an expense that is simply not reasonable to
expect, so blocking XP from loading a later version of IE simply compounds the
problem? OK most people will be using a newer free browser in place of IE
anyway, but only last week I had to help 'uninstall' IE9 from a machine as the
on-line parts service that it was accessing stopped working. OK the site needs
updating, but if the resource is not available to carry out the work ....
Heck - I'm still running W2k on systems as the cost of replacing some software
makes upgrading an impossibility.
php.ne used to be a good example of how sites should work, the current
disjointed mess is certainly not an example of good practice!
