Thanks for this information, I found the needed modules indeed. I'm on Ubuntu at the moment.
It's in my opinion very insecure to have the piler user a GRANT ALL, it's quite easy to make it "working" in that case but that user can do too much in that database which it doesn't need. Yuu migt want to look into the docs again, where is a make postinstall which sets most settings for you an places the files in the right places. I also have to investigate why I don't have a searchd on Ubuntu, I might miss a package there.
