Meri, thanks for your response. I am 53 years old now. I have had migraine headaches since the birth of my first child in 1973. When I was 40 years old they were awful. If you got a migraine it would last 3 to 4 days. I lived on Imitrex. I had one MRI that showed nothing when I was in  my 40's but they didn't use that Galloium med. I haven't spelled that right. The beginning of 2001 I got so sick. I tried using my home town doctors. Finally they got me an appointment that took 3 weeks to see a neurolist who had a MRI done which showed a pituitary tumor. My point is I had a problem for years before it showed up. I was so sick and couldn't get the right help until a year later. I laid in bed for a year sick day and night. I could not even slept and when I did I would wake up sick.  I had surgery in April of 2002 and am still not well. I had a adrenal harmonal problem but since after surgery the numbers are normal now. I was on predisone and after surgery hydrcortisone. I am glad to be off of that. I am on throid med. because it was low. Somehow that doesn't sound like a non-functioning tumor but that was what my endo. called it. I was given Dostinex for 7 months before surgery because one endo said it was a prolactin tumor. The prolactin was only 54. I read later it will be elevated because the tumor is so large it puts pressure on stem. My surgeon told me the tumor was a cystic tumor. Of course it had hemorrhed and he just had to scope it out. I ask him if I had a gland left, he said he didn't think so but my endo. said I did.  I do believe I was lucky not to have died through that and to top that off I had to have a stink put in my artery to my heart inbetween all this. One of my heart doctors said the gland problem has nothing  to with the cholestrol , but he is wrong from everything I have read. Right now my IGF-1 is boaderling low. I am trying to figure out if I should be on a growth harmone. My hands are going numb, which happened before. My buttocks burns. I took Imitrex for migraine for years and at the end every day because of the headache the doctors were not concerned with. I'm wondering if I've messed up my vascular system. I can't find anything on this. My doctor tries to tell me it is fibromyaliga but I don't think it is. The doctors just won't listen. They think were all hypoconreactes.
