We got alot of "earth angels" that hang out here on these message boards that help alot of people ![]() Strange that faceless, nameless, people can bring so much comfort on a blinking computer screen.... Re: surgical techniques - I think the 'better' is from the patients point of view as it is less invasive, shorter recovery time, shorter hospital stay, etc.. I think the 'better' from the surgeon's point of view is that in some tumor types, the flexibility of the endoscope allow for some additional manipulation options that isn't afforded with the rigid speculum - this goes all the way to tumor presentation though. I can pull some papers together that discuss the comparisions. Give me some time. This is a busy week. Bottom line... it is most important you consider talking with 1,2 maybe three pituitary neurosurgery surgeons and go with the one you feel most comfortable with. The papers may help, they may not. Surgery is nerve wrecking anyways.... ![]() Minnie |
