They may just want to monitor it for growth over time.
 
It is hard looking in the crystal ball of what is, and what is not. I think the endocrinologist will try to consider an option of care that is best for him. I think you are a very caring person to ask questions and be interested in his treatment and his outcome.
 
It is important sometimes to just listen and give support. Sometimes the old adage... we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, is good advice.
