My husband had surgery last month to remove a non-functioning Pituitary tumor that the neurosurgeon told us was the size of an egg. It was pressing against his Optic nerve and causing peripheral vision deterioration. Before removal of the tumor he was already having hormone problems which placed him on Prednisone. Since surgery his thyroid is under active and he is on Thyroxin for that and his Testosterone was pretty much non existent so he is bi-weekly injections . He has recently had a second MRI Scan and we were told yesterday that the surgery did not get all of the tumor and that 15% was left. The really frustrating part is that he told us that we would have to wait until next Tuesday to give us our options. Is there anyone out there that might know what options we will be offered? My husband has already been out of work for 5 weeks with out pay and we are trying to figure out what we are going to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
