You are on a good start asking for advice. I do not know how many sites you have checked but there is also a huge site called www.pituitary.com, The Pituitary Network Association. Even though I prefer this site, I recommend the other also because you have a lot of decisions to make fast. I went to Dr. Shahinian at the Skull Base Institute in Los Angeles. He has removed a lot of tumors that were complicated and large successfully. My tumor was over 2.2cm and my doctors in Oregon gave me a 50% chance of getting it out. My tumor was removed by Shahinian in 2000 and my MRI is still clean. Shahinian uses a fully endoscopic surgery where he goes in to the site of the tumor through your right nostril with endoscopes. He is a world renowned pituitary surgeon and in my case I left the hospital the next morning and went to the movies. Another surgeon who uses this technique (and actually developed the method) is Dr. Jho in Pittsburg. He has excellant results also. I personally believe that there are no more than a dozen surgeons who are consistently recommended on pituitary sites, and that it is worth going to them because they have the best chance of totally removing the tumor the first try.
