I wasn’t out of the hospital in one day either. Most patients do recover quickly, but everyone is different. Before surgery I was told to expect probably a 2 day stay. I ended up having to stay 10 days though, mainly because of severe diabetes insipitous and also some allergic reactions to some of the drugs (I’m allergic to everything!). Mine is NOT the standard reaction after these surgeries, but you do need to be aware of the possibilities.

I also agree about not overdoing it! Your body will probably be more exhausted than you realize afterwards.

I didn't want to write until after your surgery but you should know that everyone does not get out of the hospital in one day. I was in the hospital for 7 days and had nasal packing for 6. My recovery was difficult and slow and it took several months before I really felt good. Everyone is different and their tumors and damage caused by the tumor is different. Don't hold too high of an expectation for yourself. If it takes a while for you to recover it is not your fault!! You can find my story in the My Pit Story section of this site.

They usually give you steroids following surgery which can make you feel better than you should. Make sure you follow your doctors orders and don't overdue it! If you need too let your family and friends help. This is harder than we think for most of us.

We will pray that you have one of the easy recoveries.
