Mhill- no worries- I don't mind talkinabout it. There was absolutely no problems with my nose except for mild dripping afterwards. The didn't use any nasal packing, no incisions etc. Seriously, this approach was like having a tooth extracted under anesthesia- didn't feel hardly anything & only mild discomfort- very tolorable- I had feared the worst and yet it was a non event really- as I said in previous post- the woprst part was comming out of the anesthesia & trying to get comfortable after sleeping for about 11 hours straight & couldn't sleep anymore. Bending over was a bit of a problem for about a week- but nothing major- just had to do it real slow- also sitting up after sleeping- just had to go slow- there was a moderate 'pressure' feeling in my head if I overdid it. IMO, I would highly recommend the endonasal/endoscopic proceedure for several reason- one being that the recovery & mildness of pain is moot, AND becasue this proceedure results in less complications as to compared to the older method. As one poster pointed out, Even if you have to travel, it is well worth finding a very experienced surgeon in the endonasal approach- make sure they have done several 100- preferrably a 1000 or more, they are the most experienced, have the best success rates, and the least complications (Some of which can be severe and or life threatening- so the less risk, the better imo) |
