Surgery on Friday (24th) Recovery Time??

I hope you receive this reply before your surgery. I had the transphenoidal approach.(You are having surgery tomorrow so I don't think you are changing doctors) My doctor also prefered this approach. I saw a doctor that did the endonasal approach and that doctor made a bigger deal out of the surgery than the transsphenoid doc) Only one nostril was packed and it wasn't really bad. The posts made it seem much worse. I could breathe through my other nostril. It hurt for a second when they removed the packing but that too was much less than I anticipated. My nose leaked for one day but not continuously. I just would wipe it. I did not wear the mustache bandage after the first night. I had the surgery at 5:30 PM. I don't think you will be able to pick up your kids. I think you will need someone to help take care of the kids for a few days so you can do whatever you feel like. I was given prednisone and that made me feel really good but the days I tapered I felt a little pooped. Good luck!
