Hi,
I haven't posted in a really long time but have some info tht might be helpful to you. I have been fight a pit tumor since 2000. Had transphenodial in 2000. Tumor grew back and had a crani in Nov. 2004. My optic nervese were very involved and I was going blind. My NS messed around and "watched" it for so long that I have perment vision loss in one eye. In 2005 I sent my records to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore MD. They said radiation. So that is what I did in April and May of 2005 I did radiation at JH. It was the scariest thing ever but they are some of the best in the world. Well the radiation was a hugh success. So good that the tumor started dying so fast that my body couldn't keep up. So three weeks ago I had to have another crani at JH so they could drain the tumor of the dead fluid and they also removed more tumor. I have had 2 crani's and radiation within 1 year. My vision is restoring some. Here's hoping this wil be and end to things! I dod have the risk of having to be on hormone replacement at some point (I go to the endo today) but really taking a few pills is a small price to pay to have my life and my vision. I want to SEE my kids grow up.
