Cathy, I had the 5 days a week for 5 weeks radiation. Not sure what it was called. I was told I had no other option because the tumor was too close to the optic nerve again and another surgery wouldnt get it because it was wrapped around cariod artery, and in sinus cavity and it would just grow again. I have some brain damages that they say cannot be reversed. I was also told the hypotholmas may have been damaged. I am off balance, dizzy, over heat easy, weak, get confused easy, sometimes stutter and my words come out jumbled, memory sucks. Long list of stuff. No one told me this would be possible. I'm not trying to scare people i just want them to know that it can happen. Some Drs. dont think it was the radiation alone that did the damage, they say it's the combination of all the "invasion of the brain" and the radiation was the final straw. Cat Cat |
