Dear Minnie:

It would not surprise me if I was NOT a Cushing's patient. My hormones are
all over the place and the surgeon's thoughts are that it is the pressure on
the
gland. It works for me! My neurosurgeon here as well as my endo here all say
that the tumor has nothing to do with my symptoms and my hormone function is
good. How this can be when I am out of range for most things is beyond
me!!!!

Okay, not to get to my biggest problem. My endo dropped me less then two
weeks ago. I do not know about anyone else but here is AZ it take on an average
of 3 months to get an appointment to see an endo and I do not even know where
to
start!!!! I leave on Thurs. and do not know anyone nuts enough to take over my
case! Frankly, if my kid is friends with my endo's and my father-in-law plays
tennis with her husband., we do things together outside of our professional
relationship and she drops me like a Hot Potatoe, who else is going to pick me
up without even seeing me???? I really do not know what to so. When I called
Shahinian's office crying they told me that they would hook me up with one of
two Doc's that they work with our of UCLA. That was the best I could do at the
moment.

I would not even be able to get an emergency appointment with my PCP. He
has other docs and PA take his emergency appointments and it takes two weeks to
get in to see him-:) Even bad endo's are hard to get into!!!

Minnie, I really do not know what to do. I know it is completely unethical
and considered abandonment to drop a patient two weeks before surgery without
referral because she does not want to "deal" with it!!!! It is very
irresponsible but what can I do? How do you find a doc in a couple of
days.

I know most people would postpone this but I will not. So how does one
get an emergency endo? I know we go through a lot of crap with this disease but
I would find it hard to believe that this has happened to anyone else. I would
certainly hope that it has not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Advice??????

HUGS,

Tina
