Sherry, I am going through this right now, I have been unable to work for
over a year now. You should apply right away as it may take them months to even
respond the first time.Thier protocol is to deny everyone the first time unless
you are on the floor bleeding to death , then they'll approve it because they
know you won't live long enough to cash the first check. I have been fighting
through my attorney , they keep denying it with no reason and no contact number
to ask why.I have all the appropriate documentation, from some of the best Dr.s
in the country even Dr.s that work for the Federal Government stating I can no
longer work! I have the typical acroproblems ie the cartilage is gone in both
my hips, bone and cart. fragments loose and worn in my knees, lower spine is
fragmented and collapsed. Both shoulders have worn sockets with nodules growing
on the ball of arm bone. Sever pain from my lower back to my ankles . I am not
a sissy and no stranger to pain but finally had to face it...I can no longer
work. I currently take about 20 pain killers a day. That alone keeps me from
being able to work! In a few weeks I have an appiontment with my Dr.about hip
replacement , wich would be GREAT but I still have some GH issues that may need
to be adressed first. A second surgery is almost out of the question, leaving
radiation. This takes years to take effect! I will surely be in a wheechair by
then. BUT.... I'll just keep plugging along.. Praying and living as though
its all up to God. Theres still food in the cupboard and the bills are almost
all paid LOL Scott
