I'm a new member and i posted my story in the wrong place. Getting use to this
now. I had a 5-6mm pituitary tumor removed in Jan of 2007. I had alot of
complications after the surgery just wondering if anyone else went through what
i did. Four days after my surgery I went back to the doctors to have stents
removed from both my nostrils which i was never told about before the
surgery. The next day I sneezed two times and started to hemorrage from my nose
and mouth until I passed out in front of my ten and four year old. My kitchen
was full of blood. I was released from the hospital told that the ct scan
showed a half a mm mass which was most likely scar tissue. ok with that i went
home not knowing any better. A few days later i had alittle pressure in my left
temple went to ER they did a cat scan angiogram. It showed an 8x10 anerysm in
my carotid artery.Emergency surgery was performed placing 8 coils in my head.
After the surgery Iwas told I needed 2 units of blood (that I should have
gotten when i bled the week before). After all of this I asked my
surgeon for my pathology report and he kept telling me he was going to get it.
So my endo called the hospital and they told her that the surgeons didnt write
to stain it and it was to late to do so now. As of today i just found out a
few weeks ago i have a sinus disease i have been suferring with since alittle
bit after the surgery and it took me almost passing out for them to treat it or
even tell me about it.My husband couldnt deal with all of this so we are
recently seperated and i continue to deal with the swelling , sweating, oily
skin, fatigue, depression at times , acne, drinking alot in the middle of the
night, craving sweets at night, high testosterone levels, loosing my hair,
rising Igf-1 levels, mood swings and no answers. My doctor is puzzled and doesnt
know what to do for me at this point. My MRIs have shown no tumor since after
the surgery so what is going on ?????????????Is there a light at the end of
this tunnel because i have kept my head as high as i can get it and continue
to take care of my children and work but i need some relief. Please if anyone
has any answers write back. Sorry so long but i feel this is the place to do
it. THANKS and good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
