Hi Minder66 - I think that often we consider our symptoms in what we can see,
and what we can feel. I know with my illness, I don't think alot about my
symptoms, as many people have similar symptoms that I have with pitutiary
disease, but what did get my attention is what I can't see, the get up and
gocha stuff. With acromegaly, carpal tunnel, sweating, joint pain, and easy to
tire can be easier to manage in some patients, but hypertension and diabetes
mellitus, that leads to progession of coronary artery disease is concerning.
Also, sleep apnea syndrome is also concerning. In a paper I will link here, the
mortality rate of patients with acromegaly is 2 to 4 times higher than the
expected rate, primarily attributable to cardiovascular disease.

of yourself the best you can. Make informed decisions, and remember that you
are the only you we have around. Minnie
