What if the nwam project had integrated already (say hypothetically, build 118), how would you guys deliver the new users and authorizations? Would NWAM not be release to OpenSolaris until XX builds later??

We would have done what we always have done - we deliver on new
installations a complete set of RBAC files and on upgrade, the right
thing happens *if* the user hasn't modified the ones already
delivered. If they have, then on upgrade thew authorizations won't be
present. Casper's putback was one of the missing pieces, there were
some other changes in the IPS gate which just came in and I'm hoping to
resolve this for build 122.
What about today? We want to have our repository today and have users test it today? Sorry to be blunt, but I don't care what's coming in 122. I am at 120, the ips gate I have is maybe about a week old. I run "make 120/redist_import" to create the repository.

We would have done what we always have done
And what is that? That's what I am asking, and I have been asking all along in this thread for more than a week.

If you want to look at the changes to authorizations, they are at http://cr.opensolaris.org/~mph/nwam1_cr/. Why can't someone just tell me how to get it to work? Why all the secrecy and runaround?

If image-update won't work, tell me so that I can tell my project and management that we can't have the repository to image-update and test, and we'll just test the same way everyone's been doing, BFU.

Thank you very much.

Cheers,
Anurag
