There is no secrecy here, but I believe that others are simply trying to
help you learn the process since this is work that project teams will
have to do.
I realise that this is not the easiest thing to figure out when you have
no experience with it, but there is a learning process involved for all
parties. You're also helping to identify where there might be gaps so
that others can benefit.
If image-update won't work, tell me so that I can tell my project and
management that we can't have the repository to image-update and test,
and we'll just test the same way everyone's been doing, BFU.
image-update, in my experience, has never caused the sort of issue that
you are seeing. If a user does see this sort of issue, it has always
been the result of a: kernel bug, flag day, etc.
You'll need to help us figure out what the real problem is.
