I'd really rather you not expose this via ENVIRON. It's
really more in keeping with all of the other depot settings
to have it available via command line.
Also, I wouldn't call this "done" until it's integrated with the start
method and our SMF manifest (talk to Brock: he's been down this
path before). Oh, and the man page needs updating as well.
