After some more investigations, it seems that this problem only happens with
RTT mode "FBO". With the current version of fglrx driver there is no
performance difference between FBO and Copy modes (PBuffer isn't supported
at all). And more, Copy supports anti-aliasing when rendering to textures
whereas FBO doesn't. So I would advise ATI users to use only RTT mode "Copy"
until ATI releases better drivers, and not to apply the patch I sent earlier
as it decreases performance slightly.
