My guess is that support for svg should be quite good in libQT4 since the whole KDE4 desktop (which depends on libQT4) uses svg icons. So for that reason and others I am looking forward to trying out your PLplot QT device driver when it is finished. Also, I am glad to hear the migration of QSAS From PGplot to PLplot is nearly complete. I think PLplot already have a lot to offer QSAS (such as good support for high-quality fonts), and the unique QSAS plotting needs are bound to improve PLplot as well (e.g., the consensus we recently achieved on the direction to go to improve the PLplot time handling).
