Almost exactly.  In fact, it is so close I am wondering if somehow Firefox
3.0.3 on OS X is also using the buggy librsvg library to render?  You have
obviously got good results for a very old version of firefox (from Debian
oldstable?), and I do as well for the firefox version 2.0.0.14-2 on Debian
testing, but I only have the above speculation about what might be going on
for OS X, and an extremely recent version of firefox.

I hope to get to the bottom of the issue for librsvg which will cover off
at least display and rsvg-view.  Do you have access to other svg viewers on
OS X such as earlier firefox versions?
