Not really, The Sort info field are deleted if the DB are backuped to
the PC, but maybe not always, so its not a save place to store infos.

The Reason i suggested to not write a sort info Block, but use the
Info (sort info Block present) if the DB are parsed (read) outside the
PalmOS is thats maybe possible that a Sortinfo Block are there.

Keep in mind that there are many ways to get a DB out of the Palm
(Beam to PC, Zip on the Device, Copy to Card, FTP Client on Palm, Mail
as Attachment, ...) and some of them are buggy and do some funny
thinks with the DBs.
