However, anecdotal evidence is not proof. I have made the decision of
not using autoscroll in *any* program supporting it, even the
extremely smooth ones (there are a few). Non Plucker, of course. The
reason? I find autoscroll *extremely* annoying. I would click on the
"up" and "down" buttons any day.
