Try this. This script is working fine on me. I've already edited it for your
use. This should all be in one line or you can make use of "\" to divide
lines. You can get rid of the comments.
#--------------------------------start script-------------------------
/usr/sbin/pppd connect 'chat -v "" ATDT2468135 CONNECT "" e: username d:
password >ppp' /dev/ttyS1 115200 debug lock crtscts modem defaultroute
noauth
#--------------------------------end script-------------------------
NOTE: Don't put double quotes in username and password.
This script uses com2. Just change it to where your modem is connected.
/dev/ttyS0 - com1
/dev/ttyS1 - com2
Add this line to your /etc/syslog.conf and save it. Use TAB key to create
white spaces.
*.* /dev/tty12
Send a HUP signal to syslogd. killall -HUP syslogd
Fire up your this script then press Alt+F12 so you can see the ppp
negotiation. From there, you can give us the errors. To go back to your
console, press ALT+F1.
good luck.....
