sorry for the incomplete info:
1. redhat box trying to connect to ISP via PPP
2. ISP (i am the ISP also).. using cisco access
server and RADIUS.
3. i can connect using win98 (same login and
password).
4. i can connect using kppp (same login and password).
now i want my box to dial and establish ppp upon boot
up, so i need a script on rc.local to this...
this is the script, i execute this at terminal prompt:
/usr/sbin/pppd connect 'chat -v "" atdt9,8679400
CONNECT "" name: redhat word: abc123
>ppp' /dev/ttyS0 38400 debug lock crtscts modem
defaultroute noauth
