the rule swap=2 x ram is applicable for other unix variants,
linux, otoh, could use as much swap space as you could give.
... or so i read somewhere :)

and it's limited to 128mb per swap _partition_,
you could have as many swap partitions as you need.

but still, nothing beats real ram.
