precisely why i want to get an SB Live! for the sound quality under the
other OS particularly for GAMES. the fact that i can actually use the SB
Live under Linux allows me the freedom to stay in my preferred OS to
listen to MP3s and the like -while- doing other things under Linux; sound
quality while working doesn't always make that much of a difference for
me. if i really wanted to listen to music alone, i'll just take a walk to
our living room and listen to the music on my JVC micro component system
which i would think sounds better.
do you have a suggested sound card that will run under linux and perhaps
match the sound quality of the SB Live?
