#_ PHP4 seems to be a good choice, but then this is a stupid statement
#_ considering I've not worked with anything else. Hahaha!!! It may also
#_ interest you that PostgreSQL 7.0.2 together with the latest PostgreSQL
#_ ODBC drivers seem to be pretty okay. This should allow you to set up an
#_ Access or VB front-end. Pero huwag, web-based na lang para cross-platform
#_ pa. You may want to get inspiration from <http://www.sql-ledger.com/>. I
#_ think it was written in Perl. Good luck, and don't forget to keep us
#_ posted with your progress. You may want to open source your project as

Thank you for the suggestions guys (n gals); I'll go with rieserfs, it seems
to be the safest and most stable.
as for the frontend most definitely it will be web-based para cross-platform
and sure, I'll open source it :-> I'll check out http://www.sql-ledger.com/
and I also found "A Contact Database using MySQL and PHP (Web Techniques,
Jan 1998)" at http://www.webtechniques.com/; although I'm more inclined to
use postgreSQL, we'll see.
thanks again.
