Yes, I meant that. I also (stupidly) meant things like mount. With my
experience with ReiserFS, the kernel patch includes the requirements to
build mkreiserfs, reiserfsck and other required tools. Mount talks to the
kernel, so if the kernel supports a particular filetype, mount will too.
I'm using ReiserFS now, and I'm very happy with it, except that I don't
use it on my root partition so that (1) I can use my RedHat 6.2 CD as a
boot disk and still be able to access my root partition without a
ReiserFS-enabled kernel, and (2) things mess up with RedHat mounting the
root filesystem readonly first, then attempting to remount it later as
read-write.
