What's the objective of the sales force mobile app? What device do they bring with them? PDAs? Laptops? Do they have to provide real-time information to the head office?
I suggest you look into SSH functionality if they bring laptops with them. Possibly avoiding data access confidentiality breach. Plus, you have less problem with their client apps.
