I don't think we've made a habit of 'shying away'. In fact, one thing I think we have to watch out for is the prospect of being too reactionary. Every anti-Linux article on Cross Country Code is guaranteed to get a rise out of PLUG - but we can't always be _reacting_, you know? I'm very glad that the board of directors and the other PLUG people are proactively doing things. =) The best way to reach people is through good, visible work. People around the country are quietly advocating FOSS, and I think that's a heck of a lot better than fighting FUD with FUD. That's what ego-less advocacy is about - rising above mudslinging and instead focusing on results. Dominique's suggested doing positive PR as well. I think that's great! I really don't think there are a lot of quitters on PLUG. After all, considering how tough it is to do Linux in a Windows world, you've gotta have a certain amount of chutzpah to even be into Linux. =) -- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - open source, free software geekette http://sacha.free.net.ph/ - PGP Key ID: 0xE7FDF77C interests: emacs, gnu/linux, personal information management, public speaking sachac on irc.freenode.net#emacs .
