How I wish people in the government or in Commission on IT should
consider consulting from opensource and FOSS not just because they
will benefit from this so we'll push this. Sana kahit kunti manlang
na consideration they have to look at and study it carefully.
One of my former bosses (Dr William Torres) is on the CICT. And from what I've heard, CICT is virtually toothless. So even if you could get some F/OSS people to "advise" them, it would come to nothing.
I find it annoying that the poor people in this country have so many entitlement expectations from the government when they don't pay any taxes.
By the same token, I find it amusing that the people on this list actually expect things from the government. This government is so dysfunctional it would be better not to expect anything from them at all.
