Hi Guys,
How am I going to format 80GB hard disk via usbdisk attach to my linux box?
I am not sure if I understand the question. From how you phrased it, I can reconstruct the situation as:
1)you have an 80 GB hardisk
2)you want to format it
3)you want to use a USBDISK to accomplish that (word via)
4)that USBDISK is attach [sic] to your linux box
To answer that scenario:
1)Find a rescue linux distro that you will put in your usbdisk
2)Configure CMOS so that your PC will boot from the USBDISK
3)then plug in your USBDISK (with the Linux Rescue Distro in it) and reboot
4)At the bash prompt you can now
a) use fdisk (or cfdisk)
b) mkfs (whatever fs you want to do with it).
Now if you meant other wise, maybe the other posters have already answered that.
