Microsoft will release a version of Office to run on Linux within the "next
couple of years", according to the chief executive of the Open Source
Development Lab (OSDL).

to what toolkit are they going to develop it on? kde? gnome? gdi for
linux? there is no way we will get ms office on linux. Apple and Linux
are two very different beasts.

only the open source community can create an office suite for linux.
and that will not happen until we stop trying to clone ms office.
