The first hearing for the FOSS bill (House Bill #5769)
will be on November 15, 2006, 9:30am at Rooms 7 & 8,
Mitra Building inside the House of Representatives.
As it is a public hearing, everyone is invited to
attend the meeting. The Committee on Information and
Communications Technology of the House of
Representatives has invited resource persons from
different stakeholders.
I was informed that more than 50 was invited, so
I am not sure if every one of the invited guests will be
given the time to share their views regarding the bill.
If you want to present your views and opinions or
position paper regarding the bill, I suggest that you
put it in writing duly signed by the leader/s and/or
members of your organization and I will help in
presenting it to the Committee Secretariat.
Can someone from outside the Philippines comment?
