We allow them to. and we know what those are and when it is unacceptable we howl and if they dont fix it we kick them out on their asses. that how "Power emanates from the people".

According to acceptable policy. So when the software acquisition policy allows only proprietary software then thats wrong. When we say FOSS thats a wide range of choices. Thats not one OS from ONE company. With FOSS we dont pay for intellectual property. It can be easily modified without asking the "owners" and since the "Owners" monopolise access they can charge high prices arbitrarily. With FOSS you have less cost. Migration can be costly if we dont make the software migration friendly. So if you use FOSS you always find a way to reduce cost. -- the thing i like with my linux pc is that i can sum up my complaints in 5 items _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
