btw, are those sites dependent on the features of the newer versions?

you can use the binary packages from the CEntOS PLUS Repo:
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/x86_64/RPMS/

but with Apache HTTPd 2.2.x, you need to compile your own.

hi guys,

the server runs centos 4.x on x86_64 and the installed version of the php,
mysql and apache is 4, 4.1.21 and 1.3 respectively, however the
files/sites that we plan to transfer to this server runs on php5, mysql5.1and
apache2.2 on the other server, how will i upgrade to the version we want
without messing up the server, we currently administer it via cpanel but we
also have root access to this dedicated server.

TIA
