Is it a driver problem? I really don't have an idea. Care to provide details on how to go about this?

Just a shot in the dark, since it's obviously a driver problem... maybe you want to try some BIOS workaround. Try tweaking the settings related to video. Like lowering the PCIe frequency, toggling the spread spectrum, etc. It could be a timing problem since it is intermittent.
