Reading dvorak articles will make your IQ go down by 20 points...

Kidding aside, he's one of the biggest trolls out there and his
articles are usually in a manner like this:

  * Meant to shock and very opinionated but not insightful at all.
  * Correct information on one one sentence, wrong on the other
paragraphs and commentaries blended together to make it authoritative.
And the last but crucial part... a few sentences at the end and
peppered with words like "maybe", "remains to be seen", "if", etc. so
that he can have an "exit" strategy if he is proven wrong.
  * On the first few sentences, he claims mysql competing with Oracle?
Is he on dvocrack? Oracle targets the High/Med companies while mysql
is on the small/med companies. There is no competition here. Of
course, there are special big companies that uses mysql like google,
but they are more of the exception rather than the norm.
  * This from the same guy who says that Linux will go nowhere, the
mouse would not be used by people, iphone will be a failure, etc.

At the end, in any venture like the mysql deal, it's either success or
failure. I'm thinking it's going to be a success because dvorak says
it's a failure. :)
