Oracle is doing it the other way around from Sun...

OVM (Xen derivative) + OEL (RHEL derivative) => but not the hardware

Contrary to popular belief, Sun doesn't make tons of money off Java.
All the big vendors made one-time source payments or annuties for use
of Java. But with OpenJDK out there, I see this business drying up.

Sun gives away their app server free (as in beer AND freedom) for
heaven's sake (GlassFish). Albeit with an Oracle ORM component.
