Oddly enough, my laptop supposedly has an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 which,
according to all online documentation I've come across shouldn't have
VT, however, I see this when I cat /proc/cpuinfo:

Note the VMX flag there. I run KVM just fine and apparently it has no
trouble using the virtualization extensions that appear to be
very much present on my system.
