The benefit of a phone over a EEE is that it's smaller and you can carry it around. Been using E90 and happy with it, with putty, iskoot (skype messenger), mgmaps, google maps, have tons of java based apps which works nicely both in the front cover or inside, gmail mobile client...although it has blackberry, i didn't have it activated, just forwarded all mails to gmail account. gmail mobile client is very bandwidth efficient. there's also pop3/s and imap/s and lots of memory. the GPS and the camera are a plus over the E61 which I've used (but the E61i has a camera now). I also have mobi reader that allows me to read ebooks. QWERTY keyboard is bigger than the E61 which you need to get used to. I would have gotten E61i but since it would be difficult to text while driving, E90 is the next logical choice.
used to have 9300i which i used as a backup phone, pretty darn slow...the E90 is much better, and has longer battery life, especially on WLAN, but personally i prefer the 9300i series 80 symbian over the series 60 of the e90 -- much more intuitive and you can do a lot better..as well as the keyboard ...the e90 keyboard is more difficult to press..harder springs?..series 60 believe or not, does not have timed SMS...with the 9300i, you can compose a message and schedule it to be sent... With Nokia phones, it is easy to borrow chargers from almost anywhere. The blackberry can charge through usb, but not the E90 (there's a usb port but it does not allow you to charge, but I do have those cheap china made devices that allows you to charge phones using usb ports). --- Kelsey Hartigan Go Registered Linux user #5998
