hey thanks joebert. These are super helpful real world problems and
experiences that'll guide us.

I expected issues with just games but there was no way anyone would have
known of the other ones.

I wanna move this to the next step. Ian and I are convinced this holds
promise. Here are some thoughts on the matter.

   - I wanna start a core group to get this project going. This group will
focus only on this, and will only be composed of members who can provide
   help.
   - After determining members, a decision has to be made re OS and apps
   involved.
   - Each version will be burnt on a bootable image and distributed to beta
   testers.
   - We will need a few beta testers.
   - Someplace on the 'net to discuss revisions, issues, etc.
   - One or two internet cafes to dry run it on.
   - Once live, we need to host it somewhere, downloadable via torrent or
   something like that.
   - Update PLUG site (and whoever else is interested) re our progress.
Inform press once we've got version 1 going. <-- I'll take care of this.

Frankly, I don't think it's realistic to assume we'll replace all machines
in an internet cafe 100%. However, I assume even 10% or 25% would be very
welcome to most business owners. An XP license is 5k+, so imagine the
savings.

I'm grateful guys like joebert are coming out of the woodwork to provide
their experiences (I told you, Ian! :) I'm sure there are many others, so
please pass this around to geeks out there quietly working on worthwhile
icafe projects on their own.

If you feel that you can contribute in any way, either via helping determine
apps, actually making apps (the billing issue is scary) or even as a beta
tester, please email me directly. I am assigning myself in charge of this
project until it can stand alone by itself.
