not recommended as you run ZFS on the userland instead in the kernel
land as you suffer some performance.. linux cant integrate in the
kernel due to licensing issues (intentional from sun)...

even sun is not recommending to run ZFS on 32bit solaris and still
suffer from bugs from the original work of sun's engineers.. ZFS is
open-source... community will fix it.. besides.. sun is working or
helping with the freebsd folks...
