Yup. Point release updates, similar to what RHEL provides (say if the
desktop has Firefox 2, it will only officially support Firefox 2 for
the life of the distro).

Incidentally, the local guys in the Ubuntu forums are planning for a
distro release get together sometime April after the lenten holidays
in Ortigas (I provided a venue, but not organizing it). Could be a
good place to meet like minded folks, experienced or newbies.
