I'm transitioning our school records to FOSS as well. I know I have to kick myself for choosing MS Access for our database needs, but hey, there weren't much options back then. So now I am rectifying my error by migrating our database (at least the backend) to MySQL. Now the problem is the frontend. I don't think forms and reports don't migrate well into OpenOffice Base. I have also tons of VB scripts that goes with it. So the solution for now is MySQL backend + MS Access frontend.
Any suggestions, too? Mhac J
