http://distrowatch.com/ has a list of the Top 100 Linux distros. A 
couple I've checked out in the past that I liked were Mint, Mandriva, 
PCLinuxOS, and Mepis. All are Debian derived. Sabayon is a neat live DVD 
of Gentoo. But it didn't work to well on my Thinkpad...
